Songs for Superheros! is an interactive, high-energy music class specifically designed for kids ages 3-5yrs.  **Superhero capes not required but always welcome ;-)

As our kids grow, their creative intuitions call for more advanced class activities.   In this class, we will start each week with an interactive welcome activity and get our voices and bodies warmed up for class. We will then have a short music theory lesson which will include basic rhythm, notation and musicality as well as instrument exploration.

Musical "brain breaks" are a large portion of this class as we dive into our most creative intuitions. Our songs give children the opportunity to express themselves in movement, dancing, and acting! We will also have the opportunity to write our own song in the semester.

This is a great class to prepare Preschool-PreK aged children for kindergarten, ensemble activities, and private lessons as we strengthen our fine motor and team building skills.

CONTINUING MUSIC!
Available for private and POD classes ONLY!

*minimum 7 kids per class

A music enrichment class specifically designed for kids K-1st grade. *This class is available for private groups and POD learning*

It is natural for PreK grads to have an interest in guitar when they have spent their early childhood years being exposed to guitar players in their music classes. They have also started expressing interest in many other instruments as well as theatre, sports and ensemble groups.   This class is designed to nurture those curiosities while strengthening their fine motor skills and team building skills in preparation for private lessons and ensemble groups which will begin around 3rd grade. Our goal is to explore several facets of music, technology, and the arts to hone in on their deepest interests.

What we will cover:

-Music theory – Focus on rhythm and the piano keyboard -Music history – short lessons in popular music, instrumental music, jazz and classical),

-Intro to Guitar – We will learn the fundamentals, strengthen our fingers, and start to play around on the guitar. ***Bringing your own guitar is encouraged but certainly not required. For this section of the class, the first few weeks will be exploratory. This class is led by two teachers so that we may introduce the guitar to those who are interested, but also have the option to explore other instruments and recording technology**.

-Songwriting -Recording an original song with professional equipment**

-Creating a music video!**

…as well as musical brain-breaks to play games and have fun as we learn!

**the lockdown of 2020 showed us how important music and video technology has become and will be to the future. This is a great age to introduce those technologies and begin working in music and video production.
